Question:

14 day -- HONEYMOON CRUISE -- Carnival Victory Cruise Line?

On Feb. 10th my fiance and I will be heading out on a 14 day cruise ... well two 7day cruises! One cruise is to the Eastern Caribbean and the other is to the Western Caribbean!

There's probably a lot I want to ask but basically any advice for the cruise I would really appreciate!! Does anyone know about laundry, if they offer it and how it works?

Also, if anyone knows a general packing check off list for cruises. I'm pretty nervous being its a 14 day thing.

Internet cost? My fiance and my business is all online so its going to be horrible if it costs alot.

Spa costs?

What does All Inclusive entitle?

Thanks so much!

  1. All inclusive would mean drinks and all.  Usually when you go on a cruise, drinks are not included.  Don't forget you will need plenty of money to tip everyone. I don't  know the answers to most of your questions, it's been 9 years since I've been on a cruise.  Don't forget one really nice outfit for dinner (suit for him, dress for you) and don't forget your dress shoes (I did and it was no fun trying to find dress shoes!).  There are wrist bands you can get for sea sickness, that you may want to consider finding if you get sea sick.  If you plan on doing excursions at the different stops, you usually have to pay for them, otherwise you can go off on your own, but just make sure you're back to the ship in time, they won't wait!

    Have fun.

  2. The internet was pretty costly if i remember I went on the one thats out of galveston so its a little different i am sure!  If he has a laptop with wireless he should be able to tap into theirs which will save him from paying! Laundry sucks on ours there was 2 laundymats but they do drycleaning which is overpriced. My advice is have you guys jeans and shirts starched and as well as you stuff to that way you can avoid having to fight someone or wait for an iron! Any clothes you want within the first few hours of being on cruise you should pack in a carry on bag unless you plan to carry on all your luggage because they do take a while to get it to u!  Don't take too many outfits and shoes that way you have plenty of room for goodies to come back home!  Take plenty of extra money their booze is priced great as well as perfume and jewelry i would say take toothpast and a small bottle of tylenol just to be safe and purchase a underwater disposable camera! The spa is pretty expensive as well but on days that you are at port of call it is less so if you do it then would be best!  When they say be back at 2 be back at 1:50 just to be safe a couple was left behind becuase they failed to return in time! ANd please i have to say go snorkeling! We did in Cozumel and that is something that i wont forget!  Even if you dont do a paid excursion go to a local beach or state park beach or heck we even did some snorkeling at margaritaville and it was amazing there to and grab a margarita there they are great!  Don't forget to dine in the main dining are for lunch they have the best spaghetti i could just die for it and for dinner as well!  You can even have the room which will cost extra but they can set it up for you if you check online with flowers and champagn and that for when u get there!  If u have any other q's feel free to email me!  HAVE FUN AND CONGRATS!

  3. I worked on a cruise ship for over a year. This is based on my experence.

Internet cost are going to be pretty high, about 40 cents a minute online. And remember you are going out of country so cell phone service and laptop aircards will run a fortune.

They do offer laundry, usually for a fee. Your cabin steward will give you a bag, you place your laundry and instructions in it and they bill it to your room.

If it is all inclusive, then it should mean that all food drinks and such are already included in the price. Now if that includes things like laundry, you should check with your cruise line.

As for a packing list this is a list of things poeple SHOULD take but don't think about:

A surge protector power strip, as most cabins only have two or three (if you are lucky) power outlets.

A windbreaker, for rain and nights at sea (kinda windy and with sea mist can be a little cold even in summer)

A box of 1 quart freezer bags, to store dirty laundry.

an extra pair of glasses if you wear any.

your perscriptions, plus extra, just in case
