14 year old flying alone?

'm 14 and I really want to fly alone to go and see my nan in America (I live in England) because my mum and dad are at work when i was thinking of going. Ive found quite a cheap flight but it has 1 stop going there and 1 coming back.

Ive heard about having someone to go around with you in the airport. Do you have to pay for this service?

And also, do you think I'd be okay flying alone?

Thanks!

  1. If your 14 and you would like to fly alone your parents would have to bring you to the airport & they would have to check you in and everything .

Also you would have to pay an extra fee of $50 or $75 , depending on what airline your going to be flying on, for being an unaccompanied minor .

And some airlines won`t allow an unaccompanied minor to go on a flite that has stops , depending on your age .

Well , hope I helped ! And good luckk !

    : )

  2. hi you

i would have no problem with you flying alone whit just one flight as the airline staff would make sure you would meet a relation at the other end having 1 stop flight can be have problems and been honest i don't like the idea of having you walk around on your own in an airport at your age this i would talk over with your parents as they will have to give there permission to both airline for you to fly alone and then there is the stop over and you alone i have not hared of this service of were you can pay for someone to be with you and i say it would not be cheap

  3. your ofurteen and one of your parents should take you. to the airport

many kids do fly alone and some airlines require that a parent or relative drop you off and pick you up.

and yes you should be ok if you fly by yourself.

they only require for someone to be with if your under a certain age and your well over thta age.

Many kids fly here to visit their parents that are divorced or wanting to spen a couple of weeks with granparents or other relatives.

Make sure you have a passport or visa before you go.

  4. Legally, you can fly alone.  It would be up to you if you wanted to pay for somebody to help you  (most airlines charge you), but at 14, you should be fine without help.  As long as you are comfortable being alone.  You should know who to talk to and who not to, and there is no language barrier.  Just remember to ask for directions around the airport and you should be fine.

  5. YER U'LL PROLLY B OKAY.

      14. im a year younger and want to do the same thing

  6. I would talk it over with your parents to see what their feelings are about having you fly alone.   I think that you would probably be okay flying alone, but if you were  my child and if I could get the time off from work, I'd rather travel with you to be extra safe.
