Question:

14 year old neighbor sneaking parents car?

Our neighbor's son has been sneaking the family car out for the past couple of nights. We know his dad drinks, making for an easy way to sneak the car. Their son also got expelled from school this year for bringing a bomb to school (he made 2, exploded one in his bedroom!? and brought the second to school - ugh!). He is a respectful kid to us otherwise, but the car sneaking has me concerned. Anyone have any ideas on what to do?

  1. It's none of your buissness. HE is stealing HIS DADS car.

Not your car. Or your relations car or someone he isn't related to. So, stop being a nosey neighbor and leave him alone. Sometimes the only way out of a bad home is by taking the car. I use to steal my parents car all the time bc my dad beat me and I just had to get away. You don't know his reasons. Leave him alone.

I love how everyone assumes a 14 year old DOESN'T know how to properly drive. I started taking the car at 11/12. I knew how to drive and NEVER wrecked. You don't need to intervene. What if you tell on him and his dad beats him BAD? My stepdad would have beat the effin **** out of me and put me BACK in the hospital. It's NONE of your buissness. Let them deal with it.

And if he was driving terribly and so bad then the police would have already caught him. Unless they are stupid or blind. People, just let others live thier own lives. Stop being a nark.

**PLUS...it's not like he is drinking or killing animals..or doing drugs...he's STEALING his DADS car. OH MY GOD.  It's not that bad. Jesus.

  2. You should go over to his dad's house and talk with him about it. Are you sure he allows him to take the car?

Well, I would go and tell him.

  3. call the cops!

  4. Find his number in the yellow pages, prank call his house and say,"hi is blah blah home, because he was supposed to pick me up an hour ago!"

  5. yes you can call the cops and say you saw your someone steal your neighbor's car.

  6. Call the cops, they will be able to do something about the son AND father :)

  7. well being a 15 year girl i would not want to get caught or for u to tell my parents but for safety and his well being, i would tell his parents

  8. Haha next time he takes it have the license number on hand and call the police.

  9. Where is his mother or other family members?  My dad was an alcoholic growing up, and he either didn't deal with misbehaviors or he'd overreact and blow up.  You could contact the authorities, but you really wouldn't be able to do that without his father finding out.  Who knows!  Maybe the police could also do something about his father's behavior or lack there of.

    Good luck to you!

  10. something needs to be done before he hurts somebody, or himself.

I think if you spoke to his parents your life might become difficult. Can you make an anonymous tip-off to the police when it happens next time? Then they can stop the car and take it from there.

  11. Call your local police station, give them the address, and ask if they could make a visit around the time the boy sneaks out

    :)
