14 year old on an Alaska Cruise...?

So I am 14 years old and I'm going on an Alaska Cruise this summer with my whole family (we are 13 people). We are going to be 7 days on the boat and I think 3-4 days on land.

So here is the thing. I don't really like the Kids and Teen Service things that resorts and cruises offer so I was wondering what will I be able to do? and Am I going to be able to walk around the boat alone or do I have to be accompanied by an adult? Also are there movie theaters on cruises?

  1. You will have a great time. My son is now 14 and has been on 4 cruises.  He loves them.  When your on board it is a floating city.  He spends much time in pool, walking around loading up on as much ice cream as he can get his hands on.  He is a pretty quiet kid and keeps to himself but has enjoyed the teens club.  You don't have to go all day but if they have an activity that you like you pop in for a bit. Sometimes we had to help him get started he is very shy.  Some time's he will meet someone and then they go run around the ship. (not literally) You will have a great time.  It is nice your going with such a big group.  >Last cruise they had a scavenger hunt with the parents on board with the kids that was a lot of fun.  Go you will have a great time, on a ship there is never enough time to do all the things you want to do.

  2. I went on an Alaskan cruise/tour and all the kids I say had a great time. As long as it is OK with your parents, you can walk all over the ship on your own. You can even get your own pizza or burgers or soft drinks too. Just always carry your cruise card with you at all times. In Alaska, you may see bears, moose, Eagles, and Whales. It;s really cool. I liked going up to the top of the ship during the day to the disco(no music during the day) and just watching the ocean go by, it had the best view and was quiet, kind of private too. My cruise was on Princess and was the best. Have a great cruise.

  3. You'll have fun on board! Too many activities and there are many kids on the ship. There are movies theaters on all the ships.

On shore, it is mostly sightseeing, wildlife, especially.

    Majestic Gems

    Juneau.

  4. You will beable to walk around & go where you want if it is ok with your parents (except casino ). Every cruise ship I have been on have a movie theatger. Each day there will be a newsletter outside your cabin  check it out for things to do as a family & on your own. Took both my kids there when they were your age and they were never bored.

    Enjoy.
