  1. Where DO you people get your version of HISTORY.

There WAS NO transatlantic SLAVE TRADE prior to the 1600's... so I don't know what you are talking about a slave trade in the 1400's.

Once the Spanish conquered the indians in Mexico and Central AmeriKa.. they did ENSLAVE the Indians to do the mining and the agriculture and that went on until well into the seventh century, but the Indians already HAD a well established SLAVE TRADE prior to the arrival of the spanish.

I think you need to learn a bit more about the "Slave Trade" then just the buzz words.

  2. Trans Atlantic Triangle Trade of Goods & Slaves

    1502 - 1831 Legal Atlantic Slave Trade

1502 - 1888 Atlantic Slave Trade including illegal

Europe - Africa - New World (Americas)

1502 Portugal brought first African captives to New world (Today Brazil)

1831 Brazil was the last country to ban the Atlantic Slave Trade.

1859 Last recorded ship illegally arrived in the USA with slaves on board.

1888 Last Slave ship crossed the Atlantic illegally to Brazil. Brazil were also the last to outlaw their institution of slavery that year making them the first involved and the last to end it.

    386 years

    Maybe because of this

    Seasoning camps

33% of Africans would have died in the first year at seasoning camps found throughout the Caribbean. Many slaves shipped directly to North America bypassed this process; however most slaves (destined for island or South American plantations) were likely to be put through this ordeal. The slaves were tortured for the purpose of "breaking" them (like the practice of breaking horses) and conditioning them to their new lot in life. Jamaica held one of the most notorious of these camps. All in all, 5 million Africans died in these camps reducing the final number of Africans to about 13 million.

Serve torture branding they were subjected to things in order to make them obey to their masters like horses do but we as human can not break so many suffered the ordeal for long until they showed signs of breaking when instead these Africans just gave up and did what was told.

Also the slave trade broke cultures family tress and the way of life for over 50 million people.

  3. I dont know much about dates. But i cant decide whether the slave trade was a good or bad thing. most people will say bad but what would civilization be like without it having happened?
