147 tube problems

Question

This is the second time my Neumann 147 tube has blown. It first blew when was using it as an overhead for drum kit, and now I had it in front of my SMF amp and it blew again. I had the amp using a thd hotplate so it wasn't even that loud Is there something I'm missing about this mic or did I just get a bad one. Paul
