$149 for a Garmin....is this a good deal?

So Target has this GPS thingy for $149, it was originally $300. My fiance and I are thinking about getting it, and he really wants it. We also are trying to save our money for our trip to Cali in a couple weeks for our 7 year anniversary, God Willing!

The thing is, his phone can do the GPS thing, but we might be changing carriers. So I don't know if the GPS is a good investment.

I wish I had money to surprise him with it , but I don't. So what shoudl I do?

It depends on which model it is.  Any nuvi or StreetPilot for $149 will be a good deal.  If this is a yellow eTrex or blue eTrex Legend, that is too much money.

yea that is good for a garmin i have one and i paid $200 for it
