i was sitting there with a bunch of my friends and we were smoking pot and i took the first hit and i was with someone who was smoking for the first time and he didnt rly want to so we kept puttin pressure n him to do it and he finally did and i realized that i didnt want that kid to do it cause we had been friends for ever and he was such a good kid. and i didnt want him ending up like me .im the kid with the long hair over his eyes who is smart but slacks off in school and has been doing drugs for awhile and teachers always hate me cause i look like a drugy granted i have done it people just think i do it lot more than i have .but anyways as i sat there across from my friend i just said i didnt want this anymore out loud and just walked out and i was sittin here a couple days after and i went over to that friends who had done for th first time and i told him i was sorry about the other night for trying to get him to smoke and s**+.t and hes was like its ok man and i said that he shouldnt smoke anymore i told him i was just gonna stop and i told him he should stop before its too late and he told me stop being a prude and lay off and he told every body else who i have been hangin out with lately about what i said and now most of um are treating me like we had never been friends

so now i like only have my closest friends rite now and i start school next week its a fresh start for me and im wonderin should i try to go back to the friends i was just with or with my old friends who i have known sense i was 6

if they're ditching you because you were trying to help a good friend take a good path, then no you should not remain friend with any of them. please go to rehab and stop drugs. its better for you if you get a new start and make new drug free friends before its too late

It sounds like you're the only one out of all the friends you've been hanging out with that is actually growing up.  Although I'm not 14 anymore, I do have a past and it took me until I was in my 20's to come to the realization that you have at only 14.  So much respect for you!   Personally, I would have fun in school, don't take anything too serious, but at the same time maintain your grades because you don't want to be that 30 year old slacker that's still living with his mommy and can't get a girl cuz he has no money and he smoked his life away, (like your friends will become if they don't get a handle on things now).  Believe me, been there and done that and some of those guys are STILL doing it!  OH... and I'm no prude! LOL!
