Question:

15 Minutes for 2 miles?

Ok, I am WAYYYYY out of shape. I'm not fat, but I can barely run 20 yards without dying!

I wanna make the JV soccer team, but in order to make the team I have to run 2 miles in 15 minutes. Any idea how long it'll take me to train up to that by Aug. 18th? Any ideas HOW?

  1. sorry to say this but your out of time. still train for the 15 min 2 miles. practice makes perfect.


  2. i would say to start slow. but you dont have much time. i would say to have 2 a days where you would go out and run early in the morning about 3 miles in a slow jog and than at night another 3 miles slow jog. you will have to work everyday hard to get any results but if you have the motivation it will deff. work. the biggest thing to remeber is to push yourself towards the end. you dont wanna regret not pushing yourself to your abilites.   3. I don't think you will make it, still try though, you might come close enough that the coach will let you on the team anyway.  Plus don't give up because then you'll never make it.

  4. it's kinda late to hope to get in shape now. you should have been building up to that like all summer long at least. if you run two miles every day up until try-outs you may improve your time, but probably not in 15 minutes. good luck though!

  5. since u only have 12 days it probably wont happen but to get u as close as u can i would say to run as far as u can and if thats 2 miles than just keep pushing urself to get a little faster each day, and u will have to run every day. if its not 2 miles, than work up to being able to run 2 miles, then work up speed. good luckz

    You have 12 days to get in shape for a 15-minute 2 mile run. It is not going to happen. I am sorry. That is the truth.
