  1. Depends on a few factors:

    - the kind of filter set-up you have in the tank

    - the adult potential size of the fish

    - if you are planning on getting live-bearers or egg-layers

    - the bio-load of the fish

For a smaller tank like this- I recommend small non-live bearers.  Many tetras are colorful, interesting, stay small, and hardy, and long-lived.

    Good luck with your tank!

  2. Well, it really all depends on what type of fish you want to buy. Generally the rule of thumb is 1 gallon for every 1 inch of fish. So if you want livebearers, you could have 15 (they are about 1 inch). If you want small tetras, then 30 (they are half an inch). If you want oscars, then buy a bigger tank! But if you are a beginner, then around 10-15 inch long fish should be safe. Hope this helped!

  3. Depends on the fish. If it is small, 1-2 inches long per fish, you may store about 20. If it grows to 6 inches in length, you may only store one pair. Fishes grow to 10 inches in length needs a bigger tank from 29 gallons to 30 gallons per fish, but you may still try.

  4. it really depends on the fish if it is neon tetras you can put 20 if they are 1-2 inches maybe 15 the other fish 3 inches and up have to apply to the rule one inch of fish per gallon
