  1. I am 13 weeks and havent gained one single pound.

  2. Dont stress over the amount of weight or how much.  Do NOT diet or cut meals.  Eat fruits, veggies and a nice blend of healthy foods.  Eat breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack and dinner.  Plenty of water too!  Cut out the juice drinks high in sugar or dillute w/ water.  Eat junk food only on occasion.  Just because your pregnant doesnt mean you have to eat for two.  You will have to consume more calories for healthy baby growth but dont fuss over the weight. I did w/ my first.  My 2nd, I ate good and I also ate bad.  My 1st was 6lbs 7.4 oz and my 2nd was 8lbs 7.3 oz.  I truly believe it partially had to do with being so picky and watched what I ate w/ my first.

  3. its normal. on average a woman should gain 4lbs a month. It isnt that you're getting fat though. It is the baby growing, the increase in blood, your b*****s getting larger, and an increase in the fluids you carry. no worries, most women gain 30-40lbs over all, just keep in mind it is not fat.

  4. Just be careful and eat healthy... I think you're supposeto gain around 30 pounds total.  However, don't not eat because you're concerned about the weight gain, just be choosy on what you eat.

  5. It is a lot.  You really don't need to gain more than a couple lb in the first 15 weeks.  But, I've gained 8 lb in the first 15 weeks before, and that was the pregnancy I gained the most: 45 lbs.  Unfortunately, you can't make up for a lot of gain early on.  You still need to gain at least 20 lb between now and the end of pregnancy.  But, make an effort to slow it down.

This time around, I'm 21 weeks tomorrow, and I've gained 11-12 lb.  So, hopefully, I'll succeed in keeping my weight gain under 35 lb this time.

  6. DONT WORRY MY GIRL GAIN 47 POUNDS OVVER HER PREGNANCY

  7. Pregnancy=weight gain.  If your doctor didn't say anything then there isn't anything to worry about.

  8. If you havent been overeating then no, I would say your just fine !  I gained 10 lbs in the first 12 weeks and I was freaking out but I the doctor wasnt concerened and my weight gain slowed down by the 6 month and I gained 30 lbs overall. Everyone is different, I hate those stupid charts and "guidlines" as to how much a woman should gain when pregnant,I gained 65 lbs with my first and only 30 with my second and I didnt do anything differently, it was just how my body handled the pregnancies.  If your healthy then dont worry about it and just enjoy your pregnancy! congrats!

  9. Just continue to take your prenatal vitamins and keep yourself hydrated.  Most women that gain that much weight at the beginning are taking in too much salt/monosodium glutomate and salt causes water retention.  Try backing off of prepared foods, canned vegetables and canned soups.  Try frozen vegetables and make your food from scratch using less salt.

  10. It really depends on your weight before your pregnancy. It you were already over weight then it is not a good thing. Some women lose weigh, and some gain quickly and then tapper off. I gain all my weight in the last 2 months. Every pregnancy is different. Just make sure you are not giving in to every unhealthy craving like icecream in the middle of the night. wink

  11. Welcome to pregnancy!

  12. Everyone is different...I started to show super early as well and gained a total on 45-50 pounds...Ouch...and then I hear of people gaining about 25...We're all different...if your doctor didn't say anything about it...don't worry about it...You're pregnant and eating for two...

  13. Thats normal!  I gained around 8lbs in my first trimester, which I thought was alot but my doctor explained that in early pregnancy, it's often all water weight.

I am now 28 weeks and have gained 25lbs.  My doctor still isnt concerned at all.  I still exercise regularly and eat healthy 95% of the time and have still gained the weight.  I started out rather small though, so it's expected for me to gain more weight apparently.

Dont worry, as long as you're still being healthy then there's nothing you can do.  ALL women are different.  You will talk to women who only gained 15lbs their whole pregnancy, and other women gain 60-70lbs.  It just depends on YOUR body and how it handles pregnancy.  Either way, it's an amazing thing to go through!

    Congrats~

  14. that's normal congrats you baby sounds fine
