Question:

15 weeks pregnant and still vomitting - is this normal? What about awful fatigue?

I'm so frustrated. I'm not hungry at all, and my doctor just tells me to keep drinking and not to worry about eating (he thinks my body will tell me when I'm hungry - and as long as I'm drinking, I'm ok)

I need a little comfort from moms-to-be and some mothers who can feel my pain and agony...

Also, did anyone experience the worst fatigue in the world? I feel like I'm constantly passing out, which leads to depression symptoms because I feel like I can't even cope or keep up with my day.

  1. oh my god. I'm sorry to tell you this but my morning sicking only stopped when i reached 25 weeks pregnant! it was horrendous i couldn't travel by car without needing to stop every 10 minutes or so to throw up!

if you aren't eating make sure you re getting your vitamins just so you re getting what you need.

i would try and eat at least 3 times a day, maybe lack of eating is whats making you even more tired than normal.

plain biscuits/cookies were good for knocking the edge off my sickness.

also its sounds weird but try one of those travel sickness pressure bracelets my friend is 23 weeks and she swears by it.

hope you feel better soon xx

  2. My sister-in-law had "morning sickness" all the way through her pregnancy.  Make sure you're taking your prenatal vitamins.  One thing she found really helpful was ginger. You can get ginger candy at the health food store, drink ginger tea, which you can find at a supermarker or a health food store.  Ginger helps the nauseau go away.

Your baby is really taking a toll on your body, because you're not putting enough nutrients in your body.

  3. I totally understand where you are coming from.

Morning sickness is one of the worst things.

Yes its normal every women's body is different in pregnancy. You can get safe medications to help your vomitting, maxalon and there are some others out there, speak to your dr about them.  I am seeing a fertility naturopath (had late miscarriage at 14 wks). She put me on to vit B6, what a difference it has made to my morning sickness.  With the baby I lost I was so sick I couldn't get out of bed, couldn't eat. I was the same with my two boys 8yr & 6yrs.  I notice if I forget to take my B6 as I start to feel sick.  I am 17wks 1 day.  My fatigue is starting to get a little better, I still can't over do things though or I have to have a sleep before the boys come home from school.  Sounds like you need to slow down a little, there is so much going on in your body no wonder your exhausted, plus m/s wouldn't help.  I would get your dr to check your iron levels to see if your low in iron as your not able to eat much at the momment.  Once your M/S settles start taking a good preg vit.  Fatiuge does settle into your second trimester and you will have more energy.  All the best :0)

  4. I just stopped getting sick about 3 weeks ago, and I am due in 5 days! Hopefully it won't last that long for you, but I tried Ginger tea and lemon drops, and also this lollipop called Preggo Pops to help me keep things down, and the dr put me on some meds, but they knocked me out so I really couldnt take them.

As for being tired, ugh, yes, so tired I thought some days I would have to crawl everywhere I needed to go, lol.

GL to you, and it will get better!

  5. I'm tired all the time too--always in bed earlier than normal and it never seems to be enough.  The passing out concerns me though.  Have you talked to your doctor about that? Oh, and I'm 17 weeks today

  6. Yeah, I'm 25 weeks and I still get sick about every other day or so. Sometimes I feel extreme fatigue and I still pass out. I know, I start feeling guilty because I feel like I'm being lazy and can't get a whole lot done around the house. But if you worry about that, just try to do a little cleaning at a time, take a break, and then start again. That's what I do. Every 10-15 minutes, I take a 5 min break and then go back to cleaning the house. Good luck! It will probably end soon.

  7. Every pregnancy is different in it's own way.  Even though you may be at 15 weeks and still vommitting and fatigue, doesn't mean that anything is wrong with you.  Everyone is different and how their body responds to being pregnant.  If you are really concerned, ask your doctor, but personally I think that you are okay.

  8. I got sick every single day up to and including the day of my c-section.  As long as you keep SOMETHING down, it is okay.  And fatigue, yes.  I would leave for work at 6AM and fall asleep at 6PM almost as soon as I got home.  Joys of pregnancy.  Just tell your doctor make sure they test your blood sugars and everything.
