  1. When I was pregnant I did not have morning sickness, I called it "life sickness" because all I did was vomit. Everything made me vomit. I managed a restaurant and the smell of food almost did me in. So after strategically placing wastebaskets and tissues everywhere  I told myself it was okay because increased hormonal activity had caused an increased flow of stomach acid and this too shall pass. It did and then the heartburn started. That is just the joy of baby making.

  2. You might have a bug like flu. I would def try and get plenty of liquids and call your OB in the morning

  3. I really sympathize with you!! I was throwing up all day long for 14 weeks.  Couldn't eat anything but popsicles & yoghurt. I was worried that the lack of nutrition would hurt my baby, but I had a healthy 8 lb, 8 oz baby.  I lost 10 pounds! (I ate really nutritious food the rest of the pregnancy.) People, especially doctors, don't seem to understand how bad "morning sickness" actually feels.  I think if more women were doctors or  scientists, there would be a lot more focus on finding out what the cause is & seeking a cure. I did not want to take any medicine, but had just reached that point when I thought I had to and the nausea stopped. Unfortunately, doctors say morning sickness is normal!!!! Just hold on! It will stop.

  4. Every woman is different but this is what worked for me... ginger ale, saltine crackers, gas x and round peppermint candies. Sip on the ginger ale all day long but be sure to drink plenty of water as well. Nibble on the crackers as well. Having a little bit of food in your belly all day is better then an empty or full stomach. Gas x worked miracles for me. I actually called them my 'magic pills' when I was pregnant. And there is something in peppermint that helps settle the stomach and I found them to work quite well. Sorry to hear that you're so sick. Hopefully it passes soon. I know how miserable you are and I feel your pain.

  5. I started throwing up 6-10 times a day at week 7 and I couldn't keep anything at all down, not even water. I was on several different medications until one finally worked. Ask your doctor for the next one up. Also, because I was throwing up I couldn't actually keep the meds down (or anything else) so I had a suppository one and later intravenous. I was pretty much asleep or drowsy the whole time, though. I feel your pain, I don't ever want to be there again! I'm sorry.

  6. eeewww...I have so been there!  "Hyperemesis gravidarum" is the technical term for excessive vomiting during pregnandy.  There is even a support group online for the condition. The meds that didn't work- phenergan?  If that's it, don't feel bad...it just made me so sleepy, I would wake up starving, try to eat and get sick again (vicious cycle).  I stayed sick the first 5 months of each pregnancy- doctor checked ketone levels in urine at each visit and could tell if I was getting too dehydrated and basically not able to keep food long enough for nourishment.  Your baby will get all it needs and you will be second in line.  It will pull all it needs from your body whether you eat well or not.  I ended up taking Reglan and Zofran with each- it was either that or be in the hospital with fluids.   Make sure you go back to the doctor if you feel worse or if it continues.  I hope you have a very supportive doctor and family/friends.  I have read of doctors who tell the moms that it is in their minds- if that's the case, get a new doctor.  Try to get some crackers in your tummy before you set your feet on the floor each morning-you will be sooo sick of saltines!  For a change: oyster crackers, ginger snaps, soft, crushed ice...I wish you the best...they say sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy (why couldn't it be rosy cheeks?) !

  7. If you cannot keep fluids down for longer than 4 hours then you need to go to the hospital again, and you need to tell them that the medicine your doctor put you on is not working.  They will probably prescribe you something else that may work better for you.

  8. i went thru da same thing but i noticed i wud puke everytime i ad milk so try n c if its sumthing triggering it also if i ate more dat 2 peices of toast dat wud make me sick 2 i ad dat problem da whole of my pregnancy

  9. hi sounds like morning sickness to me....it can last thorugh your whole pregnancy...sorry mommi! it will be over soon.

  10. "sigh" oh the morning sickness..it does take its toll on you in the beginning..lol

honestly there isnt much you can do except get plently of rest, lots of fluids (sprite, juice, ect) and try eating crackers to put somthing on your stomache that isnt heavy.

when i was pregnant i seemed to live on saltines and sprite the first 3 months.
