  1. They have to be 16 by the end of the Olympic year, she turns 16 in November.

  2. She can be 15 as long as she is turning 16 in the year of the Olympics.

  3. Yeah, they can be 15 as long as they are turning 16 the year of the olympics.

  4. No sorry

  5. I think you've got the wrong girl...Cheng fei is 20, she participated in the olympics in athens too, and she was 16 back then.

  6. you're allowed to be 15, as long as you turn 16 by the end of the year. nice try though

  7. Cheng Fei is 20 years of age.

She one of the only members of the Chinese team, whose age is not being questioned. She has appeared in international competitions since 2004!

  8. No, it wasn't Cheng Fei (she is 20).  It was Yang Yilin who's 15, but you're allowed to be 15 while participating in the Olympics as long as you turn 16 by the end of the year.  Gabriela Dragoi of Romania and Ksenia Semenova of Russia are both 15 as well, but will also turn 16 by the end of 2008.

  9. The rule is you have to turn 16 any time during the year in which the Olympics are being held, in this case, 2008. So, she will turn 16 before 2008 is over.

  10. Cheng Fei is 20. More lovely broadcasting on NBC's part.

  11. yea they list the other one too

  12. lol Cheng Fei? SHE is definitely not 15. The broadcast just shows how clueless NBC is about their ages. Cheng Fei isn't even on the 'suspect' list.

  13. yeah its aloud they changed the rules this year.

there was also a girl from russia who was 15 yrs.

  14. omg are you totally living underneath a rock?  She's actually 8 yrs old just like all the losers are saying what does it matter anyways she still kicks butt.
