Me and my friend are both 15 years old (i'll be 16 in september), and we are both totally into Paranormal we know pretty much everything about it!

We have our own paranormal group and are looking to start investigating for people, what do you guys think of two 15 year old girls investigating?

Although we are looking for new recruits.

  1. I was an investigator until earlier this year. I investigated for 15 years. That makes me... uh... an old f**t, right.

Anyway, seriously, there's nothing stopping you from investigating the paranormal. It doesn't require a high degree of intellect (but the more you have, the better) or fancy equipment (but this makes it easy, too).

I usually start people out with an ordinary flashlight, a pen or pencil, and a notebook. That's all that's really required.

  2. What you can do is just try starting out small and grow into a real group.Maybe you should get a couple more people. It's a very good idea that you don't charge people that's very nice of you.Always remember to stay skeptic because people will take advantage of you taking your time to travel out there and doing this for free.I know if I was scared by something paranormal I would call in some group that knows a lot about the paranormal not someone who would tell me what I want to hear.Good luck and I hope you get a case.

  3. Don't be surprised if no one takes you up on your offer.  And don't charge them if they do.  Other than that, have fun!  Be sure to tell us if you find anything.

  4. I think that you think the paranormal is a game. I'm worried about you .(I'm a mother and a grandmother.I have a degree in worrying.) To start with....if you died and you were a ghost/spirit...would you want someone treating you like a scary game? Would you want someone going to your grave and laughing etc...making out like you were a "spook" or something? There's something sacred about graves..and the afterlife. So don't make it into a "game". Also ..the ouija board is not a game...no matter what others tell you. Sure it's fun...till you contact a really bad spirit and it deceives you and tricks you and makes a fool out of you...or comes into your bed at night....and does sexual things to you. FUN??? I don't think so! Also...you might be going into empty houses that might not really be empty. There might be homeless people there ....or much worse. You could get killed....or kidnapped or worse. Also ..don't go trespassing. You could get arrested. If you insist on doing this...be sure to have an adult with you. You have a LOT to learn. Go to Resolved Questions on here and learn all you can..esp. from experiences posted. Go to the links and STUDY. Talk to real people who have had real paranormal experiences.  You need to learn discernment (the difference between a good spirit and a bad spirit). That's even hard to learn with humans on earth..but even harder with someone you can't even see. Ghosts and spirits are not imaginary playmates. This is a serious business or hobby.Even those who have been in it for years are still baffled by it.  How will you feel if some of these spirits follow you into your home? It won't be "Home Sweet Home" after that. What if you get possessed? As for just one of my experiences...my 13 yr. old son was raised off his bed one night while he was asleep. I had to push him back down to the bed....and I had to push hard.  How do your parents feel about you doing this? I think you should wait a few years. For now...just learn about them. Red Heron said he would help you. You should take him up on that. Please don't forget to Resolve this question. Give somebody a BA. If it goes to Voting....a skeptic will get the BA.

  5. too young, too inexperienced.  truly, join a reputable group and learn.  it is most important to spiritually self protect when you go searching for the paranormal, or when the paranormal searches you out.   for real, there are realms out there that contain things that are harmful, toxic to your soul.  this is not a happy jaunt into things unknown,  it is or should be a spiritual quest to keep humans safe and sound.

  6. I'm a paranormal researcher and to be honest, we all start somewhere. Me and my friends started when we were 15 and now we are very experienced (21 now) Unfortunately, the general public doesn't recognize this and I think you would have a hard time with people taking you seriously. I would join another team and get some experience. If no other teams are looking, keep doing what you are doing and perhaps try to get someone older on your team. Make sure you are professional about it or you won't get far, though.

    :D

  7. The last thing I would like to do is to discourage you, but I think there are some things I need to throw out there for you.  Are you aware that it will be practically impossible for you to do any investigations in private residences because of your age?  Most are not willing to let anyone into their homes( and businesses ) to investigate who are not of legal age because of the liabilities.  And, not saying everyonme is bad, but those who might let you, might be up to no good.

Most investigations are all night affairs..how do you plan on staying out all night without supervision?  That can actually get you into the legal system with a quickness if you have cerfews in your area.

I cannot speak to your experience, since I do not know, but you have not mentioned anything other than you and your friends interest in the paranormal and the fact that you have formed a two girl team.  But at 15 almost 16, I am thinking that you know about half of what you need to know and that half could be dangerous to you.  I am 51 and you know what, I admit everyday that I learn something new about the paranormal.  I have been having experiences since 5 yrs.  I freely admit, I do know know everything about it.

I would suggest that you find a group in your area that is open to mentoring a couple of young investigators.  There is always safety in numbers.  And you will get the benefit of others experience.  You are not tied to a group.  They are  made up of volunteers just like yourself and they can't hold you there once you really are ready to move on to a group of your own.

Please consider what I have said.  It does sound harsh I am aware, but I have only your best interest at heart.
