15 year old girl keeps getting tongue pierced ?

My daughter even though knowing the health risks with such a piercing keeps doing it. What might make her so persistent is having such a piercing...

Well, if you're telling her not to, then good ol' teenage rebellion.  Is she doing it herself or is someone else doing it for her?  If someone else is, then you could take them to court.  It's illegal to pierce a minor without parental consent.

What do you mean she keeps getting it pierced?  How many times?  Sit her down and have a talk with her.  You're her father and she is not of age.  Tell her no, stand up.  She is no adult and if she is going behind your back getting it pierced go to the parlor where she got it and tell them she was under age etc.  Ground her if you need to.

Some people want the piercing  to look tough, but it could also be that something is happening and she takes it out and it closes up , some people enjoy that type of pain, certainly not me

She's being rebellious...at 15 everyone is trying to find out who they are and find a way to be different from everyone else. Don't let it bother you so much. As long as she keeps it clean she'll be fine, people get their tongues pierced all the time without any serious repercussions on their health. I'm assuming that you keep making her take it out and then she keeps getting it re-pierced? I would honestly just leave it alone. Each time she gets it pierced again, she risks infection while it heals...but of course she is going to continue to do it regardless. It is going to lose much of it's appeal when it doesn't bother you anymore and you stop making it an issue. Many people take it out after they accidentally bite down on it a few times while chewing, or when it starts to rub their gums away behind their bottom teeth. If not, give her that little bit of freedom and just learn to accept it. There are much more harmful ways she could be choosing to express herself. For the people who say that it's solely for oral s*x...that's c**p. For many people, piercings are just a part of their style. They are no indication of the kind of person you are, that you're hanging around the "wrong crowd", or that you're simply trying to attract someone of the opposite gender. That is amazingly prejudiced and ignorant thinking. Be happy she didn't go to a dirty tattoo parlor and get a crappy tattoo from a fat man that doesn't care if she's 15. Piercings are much less permanent...always remember it could be worse!
