15 year old working two jobs during school?

I live in Canada, Ontario.

I'm 15 years old and I'm trying to save up as much money as I can so I can get myself into a good college or university. So basically, I was wondering if I could work two jobs during school. I am currently working one job during the summer and going to continue to work there during school, but I can only work for 24 hours a week when school comes around.

I know some of you might say that it will be really stressful and get in the way of my school work but I do really good in school and I am a really hard worker and if it does get too stressful for me I will quit my second job and just work one job. I am just trying to save up enough money to get myself into a good school without making my parents paying for me. I also don't want to take a loan from the bank because it could take years to pay them back.

So my questions are:

1. Can I get a second job when school is in session?

2. If I can get a second job, can I work for another 24 hours which would add up to 48 hours a week (for the second job I'll prob just work 10 hours, which would be 34 hrs a week) or is it against the law to work that many hours when school is in session?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it! (:

  1. i am not familiar with the child labor laws in Canada but.......................

in the US, in the states that require work permits, this would not be possible in most of them,  since in most states that require a work permit, they require them for each specific employer.

if,  in Ontario they do not require work permits then you probably could do this...........

i am not agreeing that it is a good idea.

the laws are in place to help ensure you have adequate time for your education and time to enjoy your youth but legally if no permits are involved then you probably could do it.

if you must have a permit for each job then no you can not work two different jobs as the issuing authority would not allow that to happen that is the whole purpose of the permit system.

  2. There is no law against working two jobs,

however and this depends on your country or state,

the maximum working hours per week your allowed, and the minimum age to work.

If your allowed to work under the age of 16, then yes go for it.

  3. no because u r under age
