150 points in Bowling for someone who plays thrice a year is a good result?

I play bowling two or three times a year. I really like to play. Usually my scores are 130-160 points. Is that good? Last time I played, I was in New York. A guy that was playing next to me, said that I had some talent. Since I only play 2/3 a year I really don't know what my scores mean. Probably my scores don't mean nothing. I would just like to have an idea of my ability in a sport that I think it is really nice.
