  1. EARTH IS'NT IN JEOPARDY AND GLOBAL WARMING IS'NT CAUSED BY MAN, THATS BEEN PROVEN.

  2. no I think but we can dramatically reduce the process .. if we work together and if the whole world take part of it..

  3. From 1960 to 2000, the time estimate to environmental holocaust was usually 20 years. Yup, each time their predictions were proven false, they just said, give it 20 more years... Repeat cycle. They never consider the possibility that their predictive models do not fit the facts. It's pure stupidity reinforced by a need to feel morally superior to others and to justify their obsession with policing other people.

You environmental whackos are getting a little more reasonable with your predictions. I'm glad to see that you're learning from your errors, and making sure that you won't be around to be embarassed when your predictions fail. Carry on, nutcase.

  4. I am unclear where you take "150 years" from as a time period during which destruction has been ongoing. Much of Europe was deforested long, long before that.

There have been numerous battles won against major sources of environmental destruction notably rivers that were once badly polluted like the Thames and have been returned to a pretty clean state; the stop acid rain campaign in the 80s and 90s etc. Wanton destruction of rainforests continues, however, as does the overwhelming threat of global warming accelerated by fossil fuel use.

I don't think it's a matter of 'saving the planet" - it will continue to spin; there will continue to be numerous species "on board" even humans (for an intriguing read and lovely promotional website about the post-oil future, see "World Made By Hand" by Kuntsler).  But can we reverse unnecessary extinction ?  - obviously we have no control over asteroids so comparing what we choose to do to as conscious beings to what happens due to forces beyond our control is truly moronic
