  1. If you worked hard enough you could definetly get those times. dropping a minute in the 1500 will be difficult but it is possible. If you don't run Cross country you should consider it because it is a great way to get a base for the 800 and mile and it is good to keep running all year. When cross country is over just keep running. Incorporate an 800 repeat day into your workouts and do 8 repeat 800s with a 4 minute break in between. I would also put some Fartleks into your schedule. So when you go out on a run every now and again pick up your pace for about 100 meters than slow it back down. Don't forget to take a day off once a week, you don't want to get hurt. when you are running the mile and 800 remember to keep your arms relaxed. Your legs will do what your arms do, so when you come down to that last stretch, and you are running out of energy just remember to keep your arms moving. I hope this helps you out a little, good luck.

  2. I'm in 7th grade too (I'm a girl)

    I ran the 1500 in 5:47

and I ran a distance relay 800 split in about 2:30

You are a better runner but you are a boy ,but since a win a lot here are some of my tips..

*don't get to far behind the leader

*run faster on the strait aways

*visit www.runnersworld for some great tips that is where I go and I love it

*on windy days always stay a few steps behind someone so the can block the wind for you, but pass them up at the end

*train for triple of what you are going to run so when you do your event it seems easier

    *believe in yourself

    *have fun

    *train hard

*dont eat sweets the day before and the day you are running

*dont eat and drink heavy things before you run

*always choose somthing to inspire or motivate you when your run

*make your fisrt lap and your last lap the fastest ones

I hoped this helped.  Good job, and good luck.  I know you can do it!! :)

    Keep running,
