1500 metre run HELP NEEDED !!!?

I am 12 at school I have been chosen to represent my athletics squad for the 1500 metre run! IM ONLY TWELVE! IT IS TOMORROW! I HAVE NEVER RAN THAT FAR IN MY LIFE!! WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!

    it's not that serious.

    just keep it under 8 minutes <33

    don't breath with your mouth, don't drink before the race, good stretch, and don't worry!

    *When you start running, don't sprint... 1st lab, jog...2nd one...little faster ... 3rd one..little faster and 4th one..half way fast and other half sprint!!!

I would start off easy with the pack and not push to the front to soon, since you have not trained or ran this distance before.  If you are able to, on the last 200, I would start picking up the pace and then the on the last straight away, run as hard as you can until you cross the finish line.

    You will not get a really acurate result of how well you can run this distance since you have not trained for it.  Just go out and have fun!

  3. You do know 1500 meters in just a little less then a mile. If you are in a running squad and have not ran far in your life thats sad. I am 13 and find 1 mile pretty easy to run. Just go out there and give it everything you got

  4. just because they dont run 1 mile like you doesnt mean you can bring them down like that..

    anyways 1500m isnt as hard as your making it. you make it a lot worse. yes its a bad and long race! but most of it is mental. just try and stay with the pack and in the last 150m just give it all that is left. just do your best. like you said your only 12 meaning you have years and years of improvement left.
