at an average of 72 runs per knock.
The home team went on to whitewash the Kiwis and dominated the competition. The budding batsman feels that the series turned out to be a morale-booster for the Men in Blue and thinks that the triumph will help them get over their
miserable defeats against England and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in the previous season.
Pujara is ecstatic to have scored his maiden Test ton and vows to deliver the goods in future as well, with India’s next Test series scheduled to be played against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 later this year.
He expressed, "First of all, it was not only a great series for me but also for the team. It was a good start for me as I was returning from injury. Things all went the way I wanted them to go. The 159 in Hyderabad was obviously the
highpoint of the series. I am looking forward to the next assignment."
The stylish batsman made an impressive start in international cricket a couple of years back but injuries hampered his growth at the game’s ultimate level. The young cricketer revealed that he had to work extremely hard to regain
a place in the Test team and thinks that the tour of the Caribbean with India ‘A’ earlier this year helped him impress the selectors.
"I knew I had to prepare really hard. I was doing my best, but the expectations were there too. Also, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 worked wonders for me," Pujara added.
