I'm so excited, I just bought my son a baby pool and we're going to play outside in it after lunch (he's napping right now). I'm wondering how everyone else's experiences went with their young ones and toddlers with their own little pools?

I know what safety precautions to take, so don't worry about reitterating them for me. plz and thx.

  1. your son may be frightened by that much space with that much water. don't try to force him into it, let him make its acquaintance slowly. splash and splat at the water, maybe toss in a few toys. If it's warm enough, let him sit in it while it fills. Don't fill it all the way until he is comfortable with it.

    boyh of you, have fun.

  2. MY son is 2 he loves his pool i cant get him out of it , once he gets in . ofcource when my 6 year was that age he was scared to death of water so every child is different.  eather way he will end uploving it eventually (I have to say dont forget sun block very important )

  3. I thought it said Kiddie Poo too lol

  4. My son went into a pool for the first time at 5.5 months old. He just loved the water and would always smile so big. That was last summer and now this summer he has his pool again and still loves it. This summer though, he is more interested in putting his watering can in the pool and filling it and trying to get Mommy and Daddy all wet. He loves to splash. He's now 17 months old, so just a couple months older than your son.

I hope you son loves the pool just as much as mine does!

  5. 15 months to poo? oh pool, sorry.

make sure you have a selection of toys that can go in the pool, not things that cant, as toys will mysteriously end up in the pool. bath toys are good

get a sunsuit and hat to stop him getting sunburn, remember the sun reflects off the water too, so sunblock on his face.

we had a pool party for my son's second birthday, but his best mate missed it. so the next weekend he came to play.

the pool was still up, on a cold grey day and the boys were happy kneeling on the lawn, pouring water in pots etc. then they wanted to stand in the water, so we put wellies on them. it was only shallow.

then they decided the best game was jumping in the air and landing on their bums. fully clothed, with nappies, coats, wellies. they continued this game for about half an hour, then we took them in and cleaned and dried them

  6. i dont really understand what youre asking here.

  7. lol this has nothing to do with your question but when i read the title since th 'L' looks like an exclamation i tought it read

    first kiddie poo lol

but anyway congrats and have fun with your baby

  8. Holy I think I have just as much fun as my 12 month old girl in her kiddie pools.

If your lil man likes the bath he will more then likely have a blast in his pool, I put lukewarm water in her pools, not warm like a bath and for sure not cold like the hose water. Her pools have those sprayers so I do attach the hose to them and put them on low just so they are spraying a bit enough for her to enjoy the feeling of the water but not enough to make her get a chill.

The first time we put her in the pool I put in some of her favourite bath toys,  and she had no hesitation to go in, she went in and sat down and played with her toys!! Now she does not hesitate to get in and play she knows as soon as she sees the pool bucket come out of the closet and she gets so excited!!

Another thing I found helpful was letting her explore the pool before I put the water in and then slowly putting water in while she was in there, I know some kids get panicky about all of sudden being plunked in the water, and I wanted to make it a good experience since she will be spending a lot of time in her pool this summer if June was any indication of how hot our summer is going to be!!

I did this with my sons when they were younger as well and they to this day love the water  and they are 16 and 19!! Actually the 16 yr old will go in the pool with baby girl if he is around!!
