  1. -15x^4 -2x^3 + 8x^2

    -x^2(15x^2 + 2x - 8) {common factor}

    In the trinomial, ac = 15(-8) = -120

    Factors of -120 that add to +2 are +12 & - 10

    -x^2(15x^2 + 12x - 10x - 8) {rewrite for grouping}

    -x^2[3x(5x + 4) - 2(5x + 4)]

    -x^2(3x - 2)(5x + 4)

  2. first factor out x^2

    x^2(-15x^2 - 2x + 8)

    thats the final answer. the rest can't be factored
