I am 16 and am hopefully going to be flying from Adelaide to Perth in the next few weeks. This will be my first time on a plane and i will be by myself. Do i need a passport? I will be flying interstate not out of the country so i don't think i do. I have been told i will need some sort of id photo id or something? Is this true? I thought aslong as i had a ticket i wouldn't need anything else to fly interstate?

  1. You won't necessary need you passport if you have some other from of photo id such as a proof of age card. If not, then you will have to bring your passport. No need for the birth certificate.

  2. If your using an E ticket or some like ticket that is just passed thru a scanner then I don't think that you need anything else at all. I've never been asked for any ID ever.

  3. You dont need your passport to fly but you will need some form of id to check in as you do going anywhere interstate. You could just take your birth certificate and passport for id to check in.

    Enjoy your stay in Perth.
