Im doing an assesment on basketball for P.E and if u no the answer to any of these questions please answer im adding them to my research! Even if you dont know them all but just some please still answer thanks!

    2. What is the term used to describe a player dribbling with two hands on the ball at once? It is called a double dribble and is a violation in basketball.

    3. What skill is used to is used to commence a basketball game? Everything, speed, strength, thinking.

    4. What would a referee call if a player contacted another player with the ball? If the player like threw the ball at him he would most likly get a technical foul or kicked out of the game.

    5. A break during a quarter, called by a teams coach is called what? It is called a timeout.

    6. If a player takes a ball from her opponent without touching her opponent a foul is called? True or false? If false, what infrigement is called? False. There is no fould called and play continues on.

    7. A player who runs from one end of the court to another without dribbling the ball will be penalised for what infringement? He/she will be called with the violation of a travel.

    8. What does a coach call to the referee if he/she wants to substitute a player? The coach will just send his players to half and at a stoppage of play (when ball goes out of bounds or foul is called) the subsitututes will be allowed on the court.

He/she will shoot 2 free throws if he/she does not score on the play even though he/she is fouled. If he/she scores the basket even though he/she is fouled the basket will count (2 points) and he/she will shoot one free throw. The player will not shoot foul shots if he/she is not in the act of shooting. Except if the opposing team is in the penelty this is when the team has 5 fouls or more in that quarter.

    10. If two players catch a ball, from opposing teams at exactly the same time, what would the referee do? The referee should call jump ball and the two players will have a jump ball for the ball.

    11. How many seconds can a defender stay in the key when the opposing team is in their offensive half of the court? They can stay in there for as long as they want as long as they are defending someone but if there is nobody in there they can stay for a maximum of 3 seconds.

The ball will be inbounded from behind the basketball hoop anywhere along that side line behind the hoop the player can inbound the ball, by the team that was scored on.

    15. How many places on a basketball court can a jump ball take place? A jump ball can be taken from three (3) spots. The center of the court and than the circle that surrounds the two free throw lines on either end of the court.

    16. How many points would be scored by a player who shoots the ball from the half court line in a game? He/she will score 3 points. Unless they are fouled he/she shall shoot one free throw for an attempt of a 4 point play.

    Most coaches send the player they want to sub in to the scorer's table to check in. Then the ref will allow the player to come in on the next dead ball. I would assume that a coach might say "sub" to alert the ref.

  11. the second question I am sure you can find a better answer. I know when people get the ball and have not moved they can let the ball bounce from both of their hands to the ground and get in the air up and put it in of how ever they like. Its usually done for power moves, I think it is called something though. Geuss, Quick Bounce than explode, you could call it a quick easy bounce? maybe
