16 g of saturated fat in 2 tbsp of "raw coconut butter (w/ goji berries)" ... healthy or unhealthy?

16 g of saturated fat seems like alot!

It's 100% raw, vegan and organic

  1. Organic food is food that has not been sprayed with chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. They are not genetically modified. They were not grown with human waste or raw sewage. They are not exposed to radiation.

    Saturated fat increases your chances for coronary heart disease. It causes weight gain. I'm not sure what else it causes but I would avoid it. Please refer to my link for more information about saturated fat.

    Organic food is not 'health food'.


  2. It depends what the other values are...If it has enough good things to make up for that much fat then I would say it's fine.

    If it really doesn't contribute anything to your diet then stay away from it unless it's just wonderful or something.

    It also depends how much fat you consume in a day...I know as a vegan I eat very little fat to start with...
