Hi,

Looking to buy some golf clubs. Haven't played since I was 13 and I'm hitting 180 yards consistently with a 3 wood now. It's not great but it's somewhere to start.

Now you know around my level- I'm looking at buying some clubs. I was thinking of the Ben Sayers Package & bag- Ben Sayers M7 ICE.

Around £180-£200.

Anything else to consider clubs wise?

I'd appreciate some input.

Query.

  1. The BS starter pack is OK, however I would go for the Hippo starter set, it comes with a driver, 3 wood, 3 and 4 rescue clubs, 5,6,7,8,9 irons pitching and sand wedge and a putter + bag.

You will have to get one on ebay as the propper price is £399 but I got a new set for £139.

  2. Hi i have brand new ping g10 irons with a bag for sale with callaway woods and a ping putter for £200 they were my late brothers he used them twice

  3. i would get a dunlop loco pro driver with an oversized head and graphite shaft. Its an excellent club and i can hit miles with it. Also make sure get get a good putter such as an oddesy white hot or 2/3 ball.

    I hate netball 2.

  4. Juicy Fruit - get a life - and GROW UP.  Golf is not an old person's game, shame you too young and stupid to realise that

  8. The Ben Sayers equipment was once the very best in the world starting when old Ben and then his son young Ben made the clubs themselves by hand.  Eventually they had a nice factory in North Berwick and continued to build the best and ship them all over the world.  But from what I understand the family has pretty much died out, the company sold off and the clubs are all made in the orient so all that remains from the originals is the name.  Have not seen them for sale in the US, but it is a company with a long history and tradition in the game.

  9. Go to your nearest driving range or golf course and get advice from the pro. Tell him your budget and he'll help - remember though at your age you haven't finished growing, a set of ladies clubs may suit better at the moment - no seriously,
