My mom tells receiving a job on the books whatever money I make will be taken out of my check and not replaced. I have heard conflicting reports saying that I can earn up certain amount of money before it can deduct from my check. I really need a job and need help getting to the bottom of this issue. Any help is much appreciated.

  1. You might find the answer here>>>http://ssa-custhelp.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/ssa....   I don't know about your case, but sometimes you can work and earn so much before it counts against your earnings from ssd.

  2. I was receiving like $1100 a month in social security and i had a job at that age.  They didn't take anything out of it.  I believe as long as you are still attending high school you should be able to get your SS.  I purposely held myself back a year to keep getting the 1100 a month till i was 19 lol.

But i don't know how disability benefits work.  Me my mom and my sister were each getting 1100 a month after my dad past away.

  3. You can get up to so much money from working before they start deducting from your disability checks. Ask the people from social security about the "ticket to work program". I know this information first hand- my mom and sister are in the same situation. My sister is 20 and wants to get a job. I hope this helps you. I am glad you want to work, having that kind of attitude will help you.

  4. the best thing to do is to contact your social security office. For me I can't work earning over 400.00 a month. I would much better like to try to get off disability if I can thats why I went to college as hard as it was, I suffer memory loss and seizures. Good Luck!
