So My friend is 16 yrs old and got his licenses today but yesterday something bad happened. He drove by himself to run an er-on for his mother. (His mother was not feeling that well) so he insisted to his mom that since he is getting his licenses in 1 day he wants to drive by himself. Well he was in the parking lot of the place he was going to run the er-on for, And he was waiting for the pedestrian to cross to get to the market, He let her cross and hit the accelerator a bit to hard and and a cop pulled him over. He said to my friend that you were driving recklessly, But when he found out he didn't have a licenses he made him call his dad and tell him to come pick him up.

The officer gave him a court date and tell him you must come.

The officer said i am only ticketing you for driving without a valid licenses

Now my friend showed me the place he got caught and his literally drove 20 feet after letting the pedestrian cross and the cop pulled him over.

So My question is what will happen to my friend in court?

He has a liscenes now.

Thanks in advanced

BTW he lives in NH

And he has never done anything wrong in his life

And for the most part he is an Honor student.

  2.    263:1 License Required. – No person, except those expressly exempted under RSA 263:25 or other provisions of this title, shall drive any motor vehicle upon any way in this state unless such person has a valid driver's license, as required under the provisions of this chapter, for the class or type of vehicle being driven. Except as otherwise herein provided, any person who drives a motor vehicle in this state without having a valid driver's license of the appropriate class or type shall be guilty of a violation, provided that any person convicted of such offense for the second time in a 12 month period shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

According to NH laws your friend is only guilty of a violation, so will be a fine, if your friend had gotten caught twice within a year would be guilty of a misdemeanor, which would be considered a criminal offense and have the possiblity (but unlikely) of jail time.

  3. Well i was in a police ride along and pulled a girl over without insurance and all she had to do is show the judge her insurance and that its valid in that state and he would let her go, so all your friend has to do is show his license and registration and insurance (Just in case) and prove its valid and no charges will go against him

  4. Chances are, since he has his licence now, he will only have to pay fines and court costs if even that.  He won't lose his licence, have to do community service, or go on probation but he needs to keep his driving record clear in the future, because this could come back to haunt him if he gets any kind of traffic ticket in the future.
