160 GB Lacie external drive is not reading on my... When my 160gb mobile lacie drive is plugged

When my 160gb mobile lacie drive is plugged in the light comes on, it spins but my laptop doesn't read it. I have tried three different laptops. Same problem. The icon just doesn't pop up. Is there anyway possible I can retrieve my files.....?
