  1. You are really good. Our 11th grader, who led our team in points, had a personal record of 4:40. Just to give you an idea of how good that is.

Next year I would set a goal of a 4:30 or better, and then try to increase 10 or so seconds each year afterwords. If you could do that, you would be at about a 4 minute mile by the time you graduate. Which would be really good.

  2. Wow that is amazing. I know a proffesional olympic coach that said you need to run at least a 4:20 mile to get into a D-1 school. I'm positive that if you keep training hard you can get far below that time in 4 years. Aim for improving your time 7-10 seconds each year.

  3. I doubt one of the best eighth graders in the country is gracing us with his presence on yahoo... are you sure you don't mean 1500?

  4. Go here to compare your times with high schoolers around the country, and middle schoollers around the country, just click on middle school track, or high school track, and navigate your way through the site, i'd jus click on 1600 m, and you get a list of all the runners in the country that have had there numbers submitted to the site, your team might even be on there.

  5. those are really good times. ur going to be really good, because boys peak junior and senior year so you will just get even better

as freshmen year i would set a goal for maybe 4:30 ish by the end of the season.

then just continue to PR and train hard and keep it up because with that time now by senior year im sure you will be amazing and probably around a 4:10 or better if you keep training hard and staying devoted to running

good luck - you have great potential and im 99% sure you will just keep improving and have ur mind set on getting a scholarship

  6. If you train hard a 410 mile by senior year is not out of reach. Goal for next year should be about 430, this would place you among the best freshmen in the country
