sony announced that they will release an 160gb bundle with uncharted drakes fortune in november but will this ps3 have 4 usb ports and be able to play ps2 games or will it have the same features as the 40gb

There will be only 2usb ports, no sd memory card slots and there will be no backwards compatibility. Though 160gb is quite i bit of memory. i have an 80gb and haven't used half of it and i have five games, and 7 demos

well the first ps3 was able to play ps2 games so i think it might be able to play ps2 games if it comes out.

No ! This PS3 version will not play PS2 games. During E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) SCEA President Jack Tretton stated that Sony isn't going back when answering questions regarding backward compatibility. In other words, Sony has shelved BC in future PS3 incarnations which is a huge mistake on Sony's part.

Many PS2 owners still enjoy there playing their PS2 games so why Sony chooses to ignore this fact is beyond me ! I have a BC PS3 and it's nice to be able to play my PS2 without having to switch between consoles.

It will have the same features as the 40 gig with just 160 gigs of memory space.No Ps2 b/c,No card readers,and only 2 usb slots.

I believe the backward compatibility for ps2 is no more (it's gone with the 80gb one). You will get a Dualshock3 instead of SixAxis which is great.

Yep, a new surprise by sony..another no bc sku and 2 usb ports,no flash card readers and no bc as well..

i wasn't even aware that the 40gb didn't have 4 usb ports and couldn't play ps2 games. wow good to know. But seeing how its the new top of the line ps3 i'm sure it will have everything you mentions but better
