Why don't they hand it out to 162 people that get 1 million dollars instead of one person getting all that money?

  1. unfortanely, life does NOT work like that. $1.00 for 162 million people?! gee, $1.00 won't buy you ANYTHING.

  2. Because they need to hand it out to one of the MORE THAN 162 million people who are willing to fork out the dollar to play it.

They say that you can't win if you don't play... You also can't complain about where the money goes if you don't play.

For me, it's a retirement plan:  I'll be standing around some "rich folks" and they'll ask how I earned my first million...

I'll look at them, and say "I earned it". And I did, too. I've shoveled...stuff, toiled, and worked hard for the "few" dollars I've spent on the lottery over the years... :-)AND given a dollar to a few people....

By the way, powerball is at 179 million. I will play it online......retirement plan
