Question:

1620 on SAT....any good?

610-reading

520-math

490-writing.....this was my best one on the PSAT i have no clue why its so bad!

writing sub scores were:

52 on the questions (out of 80)

6 on the eassy (out of 12)

is this score as rancid as i think it is?

  1. Hmm, it's definitely not a top-notch score but you can always take it again and I, even though many people don't recommend it, DEFINITELY recommend taking a Kaplan prep class. I took one and my score went from a 1900 to a 2300 just by taking their practice tests.

    the score isn't rancid, but there's definitely some room for improvement.

    Also, maybe you should try taking the ACT, it's completely different from the SAT and a lot of people do really well on it who don't do exceptionally on the SAT.

  2. the average is 1500, so you did above average =]

    since there is a difference in the number of points yuou recieved in reading, math a writing, they might think you are weak in one area

    try to get good extracurriculars and you should be okay
