£50 million striker Fernando Torres says Liverpool ‘takeover chaos’ prompted move to Chelsea
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 for a sum of £50 million: the biggest sum of money to exchange hands between two English
Clubs. Torres who is being blasted for his goal-less form at Stamford Bridge, has tried to take the attention away from his goal drought, and spoken about the chaos he saw at Liverpool last year.
The former Liverpool front-man said that the period at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 last October, when the takeover was underway, was absolute ‘chaos’.

Torres says that he knew that with the new owners coming in there would be a massive rebuilding done at the club. The 26-year old said that he  was unwilling to put his career on hold and had to move to maintain his successful career.
Torres ended up leaving Anfield on the final day of the January transfer window.  His departure was met by serious anger and disappointment by the Liverpool fans. The Spaniard said that he knew what he meant to the fans, but in the bigger scheme of things
he did what he thought was right.
“I knew I was an idol for the fans but it wasn't the same any more, The institution was in chaos with the sale. There was all this talk of possible projects,” he said.
“In many ways it reminded me of (former club) Atletico Madrid... a great history, many ideas but without money, it needed time. I don't have that,” he added..
Even though the start to his Chelsea career has not been ideal, the Spanish marksman is still pleased that he chose to go this way.
The 26-year-old has been impressed by the camaraderie in Chelsea squad and is enjoying every moment of it. He added that while the environment at Chelsea is very jovial and open, it was not the same at Liverpool.
“There are more personal relationships and jokes between the players than there were at Liverpool. Everything was much more serious there. Here, you don't have to prove you are a professional, it is assumed,” he said.
The move for Torres out of Anfield was always a matter of when rather than if, with the Reds being unable to win any sort of trophies for a while. It can be argued, that a player with a high caliber like Fernando Torres could not have lasted long there.
Torres has won European Championship and World Cup with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, and it was high time that he moved to a club where he has a chance of winning the highest honours on the club level.
