16x14x22inch cage too small for two budgies?

Question

i bought some birds for my niece yesterday and i feel like i made a big mistake with choosing a cage for them..

i cant afford to buy a bigger one..

anybody know how to build a cage?

or where i might be able to buy a cheap one?

anything helps, thanks.

look on craigslist but I think the cage will be fine for now

If you can't afford to purchase a large cage you shouldn't be purchasing birds to put in it.

I don't see how building a cage would be any cheaper - but you can get galvinized chicken wire and use zip ties to put them into a square - then you'd have to some how construct a door for the cage, get a piece put together for the bottom, etc.etc.
