17, taking a plane by myself. I dn't want my rents to find out. If I pt down my real info will they find out?

I am afraid if I put down my adress ect. when purchasing the ticket my parents will be notified accidentally by a letter or phone call. Also is it ok for someone else to purchase the ticket for me?

They will not find out via the airline you are flying. Be sure not to purchase it on a credit card or debit card that they have access to.

I don't think you have to give all that information anyway if you buy online.   Maybe you do in the States.   You'll need photo ID or a passport though so I don't think pretending to be Mickey Mouse will work any more.

I dont know anyone who has been sent a letter or gotten a phone call, if you are buying the ticket online I would say it's unlikly but not uncertain a letter will be sent home, it's probably just for emergencies
