I am moving out for the first time in less than a month and am trying to make a budget. It will be a 1 bedroom appartment approx 650 sq ft, near dayton ohio. my rent will be $440. can anyone tell me exactly what bills to expect and the Approx. cost per month. i will have a roommate and plan to attend college full time also. so things will prob be tight. so if you have any idea or a good website. that would be very useful.. also i own my car (no payment) and already know my insurance rate , also already have a phone. so any more help is greatly appercitated. thank you!

  1. does your rent include any utilities?

water, electric, maybe gas? cable tv?

    food,

drive carefully avoid tickets. parking on or around campus is usually tough, beware of tickets.

    internet access?

if you don't have a safe or cable lock for your laptop get one.

locks keep honest ppl honest, don't leave money or ipods, phones laying around, even if you trust your roommate and neighbors.

  2. honestly if you can stay at home to go to school then you should don'tt. think about this not only are you responsible for your prportionf the rent , but there is food , gas , electricity , Gas (utility not for the car) , trash , water , and other expenses like furniture bedding ... the list goes on and  my personal advice would be to stay at home especially if you are going to schoool full time !

  3. Finding a rental will be tough if you are only 17, even at 18.

You are going to have to provide proof of income - 3 x rent, proof of a stable job history, references and have decent credit. You will probably need a co-signer.

You and a roomie in a 1 bedroom apartment?
