  1. You should probably at least consult with someone in the legal field because they're more than likely going to charge you as an adult.

  2. The maximum penalty depends on how the crime is categorized in your state.  Since concealment (shoplifting) has the potential to cause you to be incarcerated you will need representation.  You can either get a lawyer for yourself or the public defender will be appointed to you.

Chances are you will be charged as a juvenile since you are still under the age of 18.  I have NEVER seen a juvenile charged with shoplifting be charged as an adult.

  3. lethal injection

  4. All I can say is you are what causes the raise in sales taxes.  Glad you got caught....

  5. You just admitted to the offense. Accept the fact and move on.

  6. I'm unsure as to whether you'll be charged as an adult because if you commited the crime when you were 17 you cannot be charged as an adult.

  7. dont worry about it too much. you will be tried as a minor, the maximum penalty will probably involve community service and thats it. contact the public defenders office, explain your situation and ask for some assistance.

  8. It is not a federal crime so that depends on your state. It is always wise to seek legal defense but you are not going to prison if you don't. It sounds like petty theft which is nothing. You will pay fines and maybe restitution, followed by probation and maybe community service. Look up the maximum penalty for your state.
