I will be 17 weeks and 2 days and I am worried that they will not see anything!! I have my wedding 3 days later and I was hoping that we could tell all of the family that has come up from California the good news.

I guess I am just super worried that they will not see anything. I had an ultrasound at 13 weeks and I was not able to see anything but I did think I saw a little dot.... Like a boy part... I don't know maybe my immagination. LOL.

is there any advise you guys can give??

  1. I found out my son was a boy at 18w4d and it was really really obvious.

If your baby is in the correct position it is likely they can tell.

For me, I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and the gender was not obvious.

  2. 17 weeks is a *little* early, but they can still check.  Good luck!  Hopefully your little one isn't too modest!

  3. They can tell as early as 14 weeks what the baby is. At 17 weeks they can definitely tell. If the baby is in the right position for the ultra sound tech to see, you will be able to share the good news with your relatives!

  4. They can probably tell you but it may not be a 100% sure sort of thing. I was told at 21 weeks.

  5. apparently three white lines is a girl, three white dots is a boy. they should be able to see it by then anyway, although it's far nicer not knowing.

  6. 16+ weeks, you have a good chance, as long as baby cooperates... I found out at 19 weeks, with three of mine, and at 16 weeks, with this last one... We tried to find out at 14 weeks (with our third), but we saw the cord, and thought SHE was a boy. (Even the tech thought so.) :)

  7. 17 weeks is close enough to the 18 week cut off that they should be able to tell. I hope your little one cooperates! Congrats on the baby and the wedding! Good luck!

  8. yeah i think it was just your imagination.....

i found out at 17 weeks... so its possible... they did told me that if it was a girl, they wouldnt have been able to tell me 100% sure...

good thing, it was a boy so they could tell 100% sure!....

  9. They might could tell, especally if you have a boy... its easier to tell a boy then it is a girl. I found out the s*x of my baby at 20 weeks, but they could tell at 17, as long as your baby is in a postion where they can see.

  10. ACTUALLY i was 12.5 weeks when i found out then i went for my second one at 17.5 weeks and it was the same thing...its been a boy both times
