  1. It's totally normal to stress a little and worry if things are right. Don't worry if you don't feel anything for weeks to come. I didn't feel my daughter until I was 26 weeks along. Some people feel them a lot sooner. I was told for your first baby you don't always feel them as soon, or you don't recognize it as the baby moving anyway. If things weren't right your body would be telling you something. So, good luck. Sounds like things are normal.

  2. YOu should be going to the dr monthly.  If you are worried you should call your dr and make an appointment.  By four months you usually start feeling the baby kick but it wont be much yet.  Good luck

  3. You should be due for another Dr appointment anytime now - they are usually 4 - 6 weeks apart at this stage & will probably be almost due for an ultrasound scan which will show baby moving & kicking even if you can't feel it yet.

If this is your first pregnancy you may not feel the baby kick until around your 20th week.

If you are overweight you may also not feel it till that time because of the extra padding between the baby & you.

Its also a case of working out what a kick feels like.   At first its like litte butterfly flutters inside you. ( not an allmighty great kick).

Often the first kicks are so small its hard to feel them especially if you are busy during the day.   Take some quiet time each day & concentrate on baby - but don't expect anything until around 20 weeks.

Mothers who have had babies before often feel kicks sooner as they know what they are feeling.

As far as not many pregnancy symptoms - thats normal & good but it can make you feel uneasy - don't expect to feel sick, or tired, or anything other than the normal.   Baby will be fine & you need to enjoy the time without lots of tiredness & sickness.

Hang in there another 2-3 weeks - when baby kicks you'll know all is fine.

    :)

  4. at 17 wks its still early to feel the baby some women feel it as early as 14wks but the average is between 18=23 and then it will feel more like a flutter or like a gas bubble. you will feel much more at ease at your next appointmen when you hear the heartbeat,  congrats

  5. Relax - first baby you won't feel much at this stage. Maybe not even until your 20 weeks or so. That little bubba is growing and developing slowly. Enjoy it!

  6. um at 17 weeks i forgot i was even pregnant sometimes. you can start to feel the baby kick anytime now. i didnt feel it until 20 weeks and i knew without a doubt it was a kick. it felt like a little flick to my stomach but from the inside. dont stress about feeling it becuase you will feel it soon enough and then you will want it to stop!!

your next dr appointment should be coming up. you have one scheduled right? if not you need to call yout OB and tell them its been a while. also your probably going to have an ultrasound done soon and you might be able to find out the gender!

  7. 17 weeks is when i started feeling like flutters and sometimes little movements in my belly. i was always paranoid too. you'll be able to feel the movement soon. i'm 22 weeks now and i feel it more often now.

    good luck and congrats!!

  8. You wont feel the baby for sometime yet, but I assure you if you listen to your doctor and his advice your baby will be fine. Congrats. You will probably start feeling him in the next six weeks.

  9. I thought my baby's first movements felt like fluttering in my pelvic area. But I didn't feel these until about 18 weeks with my first pregnancy. I think I was maybe even 22 or 23 before I could feel them on the outside of my stomach. If your last appointment was 5 weeks ago, you ought to be due for another one, right? You should gain some reassurance then. Don't worry. Your baby is probably just fine. It is so hard in the beginning to feel reassured, because there are so few signs that you are pregnant, other than your cantaloupe sized belly.

  10. Don't stress because you haven't felt the baby move. I felt mine at first at about 19 weeks.  It felt like gas...and I was probably feeling it before but didn't realize it.   I'm almost 20 weeks and I can usually feel him move one or twice a day....and sometimes not even that much.    You'll probably be able to feel him by 20 weeks. Everyone is different.   Between 18-20 weeks you'll have an ultra sound and they will tell you the s*x if you want to know... measure the head, examine the spine, track the heart rate, count toes and fingers and tell you that everything's fine. You also may be able to see the baby move in the ultra sound.  Do what I do...assume everything is fine unless you are told otherwise or have intense pain or bleeding.     I'm wondering why you haven't had a 16 week doctor's appointment? I thought most doctors want to see you 1x a month?

  11. Its easy to get worried in the beginning. At 17 weeks your symptoms are fading and your not feeling the baby move yet. Worse docs will only see you once a month. I was working myself up into huge worries b/f every apt. in the beginning. But I'm sure everything is just fine with your baby. You would be getting signs that things were wrong. If you are really that worried call your doctor. They "should" be happy to help you out.
