17 year old guy. going as a guest to a wedding. what should i where?

im going with a couple of my friends as a guess to one of their buddies weddings. all young guys in their twenties. what should i wear. i was thinking a suit with a nice dress shirt and no tie with some nice shoes. whats your opinion?

Sounds fine, but bring a tie just in case it is dressier than you think.

A nice suit, shirt and bright tie. You can always take the tie off later. Nothing looks nicer or sexier than a man in a good tailored suit. My two sons, one your age, one older, both prefer they're jeans but have a couple of well tailored suits. A good suit will take you anywhere. Don't forget a good aftershave/cologne.

I think I would ask them what they are wearing. Suit or dress shirt and slacks would be fine either way. If 5 of you go and they all wear suits, and you wear shirt and slacks would you be uncomfortable?   ASK!!!!
