17 year olds and friends travelling to nz by themselves?

Hey, yea me and my friends are looking at going to nz next year for schoolies week without parents and were wonfering a few things:

a) Can you go overseas when you are 17 without a parent??

b) Can you get into hotel rooms without being 17 and use a saving card

c) Do you need a credit card or can you use a savings card

d) Any tips

e) How much would food and accomadation cost a day

Thats about it if anyone has any tips or suggestion plz post them..Plz help thou thanks so much!!! :)

d)Get your parents to pay for all your rooms over the Net or phone before you go.

e)About $150 a day minimum per person in a reasonable hotel. $80 a day minimum per person in a backpackers.
