I am 17, and I currently use a tippmann A5, yet my stepdad "owns" the gun. I have put about $200 dollars into it, which basically adds up to the new speedball gun I want to buy (Proto PMR Rail Special Edition which goes for around $280). Now my mom has no problem reminding me that I run through hobbies quickly, however I love playing paintball and consider this my second life. I am wondering if I should go ahead and buy this gun, (and let my mom purchase the tank and hopper since she won't pay $600 for all of it which is understandable), or just save my money for college. I feel strongly about buying it, but I am open to see how many people say saving would be smarter. Thanks for responses!

  1. they say the average life span of a serous paintball player is about 2 years. After that most ppl move on to other thing.  In 2 years youll be starting college and prolly be interested in different things.  ive been playing this game for almost 10 years now and if you ask me, I would say buy a new setup and keep playing.  And if you mom is willing to help out .... even better

  2. Honestly, I think you deserve the tippman, and if it's possible it does become yours, keep saving for college!

I am personally into airsoft due to the smaller bruise in my pocket it leaves compared to paintball
