I have to take the interstate a couple times a day, and lately the truckers have really been being jerks. They drive slow next two each other so you can pass, cut you off, and they won't let you on the freeway without coming to a complete stop while you wait for them to get out of the way. Before the price of gas went up the truckers were always cool. Have you noticed any of this where you live?

  1. A lot of the big trucks out there are governed, to help mileage and safety concerns. If you were driving 500 or miles each day, and you came up on someone driving 3/4 of a mph slower, would you stay behind him?

  2. u moron, trucks arent sports cars, there heavy and slow. as for cutting u off, let them over and change a lane.. and for entering a freeway, dont you know vehicles on the freeway have the right of way, your merging into there lane.... think about it..   trucks deliver everything from food to building materials to the gas in your car.  what you should do is "Thank a trucker and the job he is doing"  "Without Trucks, America Stops"

  3. First, the slow thing - a lot of trucks are governed, and a lot are governed at almost the same speed.  Secondly, if you were cut off im thinking you pissed one off...Third, we dont let many people on the freeway because IF/WHEN we do, the people that we let on just speed up and pass on our right, which we dont like and in some states is illegal.  we dont like it because the people behind us then think "well il pass on right to then."  So we/i dont let most people on (there are couple circumstances i will let people on).  We are also TRAINED not to let people on, you in the 4 wheels can stop and accelerate quickly so lighten up, and pass on the LEFT.

  4. i really don't think its the gas. they have been slowing down, then speeding up so you cant pass them. Riding your azz and trying to intimidate people.

I just look at it this way, i have  a vehicle, and as long as i am  in control of it, they can't push me, or intimidate me .

  5. It's NOT our job to get out of your way, when you use an entrance ramp you have TWO choices, the gas or the brake, it's your job to MERGE with us, no us slammin on the brakes so you can get on. I see idiots everyday forcing their way into traffic just to get off at the next exit and there is a service road running along the intersate( no need even to be on the big road ) Some of us has slowed down because of fule price, I can run 65 mph and get about 6.5 mpg or I can (and have ) slowed to 60 and get 8.2 mpg. At $4.00+ per gallon you do the math.

  6. I live right next to the Interstate 5 in CA.  The town I live in actually has a reputation as a "truck stop town" I get on everyday and have had no problems with truckers, except when it is raining then they are freaking scary!  Just be courteous and use your signals when getting on, sometimes it may just be that they can't at that time move over.

  7. YES!!!!! It seems like they think they own the road.  When you need to get on the highway and they are the only one around they won't get over. Yes, it's hard to drive those big trucks but when they go out of their way to be known on the highway, then that is when I have a problem with them.  I have come across some nice truck drivers but they do scare me to death and I think they use that to their advantage.

  8. No, I haven't noticed a difference. Most 18 wheelers are pretty good about letting other drivers over. I travel through Atlanta about twice a year and sometimes I get in the wrong lane and most of the time the only driver that will let me over is a 18 wheeler. I admit they get on my nerves sometimes but no more than any other driver on the road.

  9. Truckers are like any other drivers.  5% make the other 95% look bad.  You want problems?  Just wait until the truck didn't deliver toilet paper to Wal Mart and you can't wipe your azz.

Give them a break, and they will give you a break.  Act like a jerk, and expect the same.

  10. If you dont want us to pass on the right, then get in the right lane so we dont pass you on the right. Why do you pass anorther truck going 1/8 mph faster?
