  1. Seems kinda smallish, to me.

    Go with 8-10.

  2. sure.  14 guage, to be safe.  if the wire gets hot, then move up to 14

  3. Lets see:

500Watts Devided by the voltage gives the amperage.

So if is running around 20 volts than you got about 25 amps...

Not shure what the voltage is your running, put a meter on it and check.

if 20 amps use #12 wire or larger like #10 wire.

If 15 amps use #14 or larger like #10

if 10 amp load use #16 wire or larger ECT

The bigger the wire the less loss, and it is not as hard on the amp.

I like using real speaker wire for most audio projects that have some power #12 or larger...

    Good luck,

    Mark

  4. 16 gauge minimum on 0-500 watts(that's what I run to my door speakers, they are 100 watts RMS) and 12 gauge minimum on 500-1000 watts RMS.

  5. speaker wire or power wire? speaker wire its more then enough for power wire if its 500 max power then your fine if its 500 rms you will need biger

  6. Be safe and run 10 or 12 guage wire. 18 is too light.
