Question:

18 year old male with little facial hair?

I believe i've gone through puberty (i'm 18, deepish voice, 6'2")

but I have barely any facial hair. I get some, but it doesn't grow very long, and it's not very dark. It's really not noticeable at all until about 2 weeks of no shaving.

is this common? Am I just not going to be a facial hair person? My hairs are pretty light on my face still..

however there are a few growing in that are darker..is this random? or a sign of what's to come?

any info/help/reassurance is appreciated

  1. It's not as bad as you think, dude. I'm 18 and I have to shave about once every week to 2 weeks or so. The more you shave, the faster it will grow back the next time. Just relax, some guys can't grow beards to save their lives, I've heard it has to do with genes and ethnicity.

  2. just shave more often. no matter how thin ur hair is it will get thicker and thicker.

  3. A lot of men have wispy beards when they're 18.  Beard hair is among the last to develop and it may take a while before it is more substantial.  The color change in the beard hairs are a sign that they are still maturing.  Besides becoming longer and thicker, some are producing pigment.

  4. Yea dont worry. It will *** soon just keep shaving.
