18000 miles and excessive wear on two front tires?

I have 07 Camry, and was been serviced maintained regulary as per manual at the dealership. Recently I went in for maintanace service, they noticed a excessive wear on my two front tires and rotated to rear.

I asked them what may have caused this, but they don't have the right answer. They recommend me to replace two tires but it dosen't make sense replacing tires at 18,000 miles. I drive regulary on paved road and always park in garage and never park on curb side. Is there any wanranty for this tire? They have rotated my tires regulary and alignment test came back all right.

  1. The tire company would have the warranty, not the dealership. Contact them for limitations, and what might be causing the wear.

  2. you drive too fast, go around corners too fast, and wait too long to apply the brakes......

slow down, corner slower, ease away from stop signs, and slow to a stop gently....

with proper rotation and alignment, you should 50000 miles

tire shop will tell you it's driver habits.....

  3. walk into the dealer and tell them that is c**p I want two new tire they have done the maintance, they have the ability to get you new tires tell them your pissed

  4. tires may be out of balance.

i would have put my money of the alignment.

ask if there might have been a recall on that particular brand tires.

18,000 to say the least is poor.  i buy tires that i expect to get at least 50,000 and keep an eye on tire pressure, wheel balance, and as you have noted the alignment.

you might want to consider haveing someone else check out your problem.

    good luck to ya
