18th Birthday Party!

Question

Im turning 18 in January and i want a BIG party. I kinda want it at home because we have a heated pool and all. And it would be more areas to decorate. But i need to decide on a theme. Can anyone give me fun party themes that will make my friends be like "WOW, that was cool!"

I know it's cliche, but what about a Hawaiian Hula party with it being summer and all..what makes a party is the food, music, and decorations the better the decorations the more hype you'll get...

I once did a Mardi Gras Party in November and it was a blast, I went all out on decorations, I ordered online. I even ordered the famous King cake to present....people are still talking about that party

There are a lot of themes that you could go for. You could do a tropical theme, and decorate with bambo, and fake palm trees, and that would work with the pool theme very well, or you could go off the deep end, and do a theme based on the cold snow, and ice of alaska, and act as the heated pool is the safe haven.
